About this generator
What is the Handwriting Font Generator?
This handwriting font generator renders typed text with two real open-source handwriting families: Caveat for loose pen-like lettering and Patrick Hand for more upright printed letters. Choose a preset, adjust the ink and background, and download the result as artwork. The letters come from existing fonts; the tool does not learn your personal handwriting.
Artwork and copyable text are different outputs
PNG preserves the exact rendered appearance. Editable SVG retains text and may require the same typeface on another device; faithful SVG embeds the canvas rendering. A separately labelled script section offers Unicode alternatives for bios and messages. Those characters do not reproduce Caveat or Patrick Hand and should not be confused with the artwork above.
What this tool covers
Use it for short notes, card headings, labels, or lettering ideas. The artwork input accepts up to 120 characters per edit and preserves manual line breaks. Font coverage is strongest for supported Latin text; unsupported scripts may use browser fallback glyphs. There is no handwriting-photo upload, signature tracing, notebook-page layout, or personal TTF creation. For flowing copyable letters alone, use the Cursive Generator.

Can I copy the handwriting font into a bio?
The rendered Caveat and Patrick Hand artwork must be downloaded as an image. The separate copyable section uses Unicode script approximations, which do not reproduce those typefaces.
Can it turn my own handwriting into a font?
No. This tool uses existing open-source handwriting fonts. It does not process handwriting photos, clone signatures, or export a personal TTF.
Which download keeps the exact appearance?
PNG preserves the pixels. Faithful SVG embeds that rendering. Editable SVG keeps selectable text but may need the same font installed when opened elsewhere.
Are the handwriting fonts licensed?
Caveat and Patrick Hand are bundled under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Their license notices are included with the site. Your output is artwork, not a newly generated font file.
