About This Style
Times New Roman is one of the most recognizable typefaces in the world, designed by Stanley Morison for The Times of London in 1931. Its crisp serifs and efficient proportions made it the standard for newspapers, academic papers, and books for decades.
This generator creates text that resembles the Times New Roman style using Unicode characters. It does not use the actual Times New Roman font file β instead, it maps your letters to serif-style Unicode characters from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. The double-struck set (ππππ) is the closest match, with its formal serif shapes and balanced proportions. The bold italic (ππππ ) and regular italic (ππππ) sets also carry the serif DNA that makes Times New Roman distinctive.
The output is not a substitute for the real typeface in professional publishing, but for digital text that needs to evoke that classic newspaper or academic feel β and survive copy-paste β it gets close enough.
How to Use
Type your text and try the double-struck style for the most Times-like serif characters. The italic and bold italic variants also carry that classic serif form. Copy and paste your formal text into documents, emails, or social bios.
