Invisible Character Copy and Paste
Choose the exact character you need, copy it, and paste into the checker to see what arrived. A blank-looking character is not necessarily a space.
Choose a blank character
Normally has no visible width; can allow a line break. Some apps remove it.
Your blank text
U+200B × 1
Brackets show the boundaries and are not copied. Zero-width text may leave no gap.

This checker reports the listed types only. It preserves your text, including joiners and variation selectors; it does not clean or normalize it.
What is an invisible character?
An invisible character is a text character that may appear blank or have no visible width. The options here include spaces, zero-width formatting characters and blank-looking characters such as the Braille blank. These are different code points with different behavior, not interchangeable empty images.
This tool copies one selected character repeated 1–100 times. Its brackets show the result boundaries and are not copied. The separate paste checker identifies supported blank and formatting characters without removing or normalizing them.
How to copy and check invisible text
Select a character type
Choose one of the eight types in Character type and read its note. A zero-width character may leave no gap, while other blanks can occupy visible space.
Set the repeat count and copy
Enter a whole number from 1 to 100, then tap Copy invisible text. Only the repeated character is copied, without the preview brackets.
Paste and verify
Paste into Check what you pasted to see counts and detected character types, then test in the intended app. The checker accepts up to 2,000 UTF-16 units and retains the pasted text unchanged.
Blank text and zero-width text
A normal space and a no-break space occupy width. A zero-width space (U+200B) normally does not, and can provide a line-break opportunity. Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800) looks empty in many fonts but is a Braille character, not a whitespace character.
Check before using a blank nickname
Games and social apps can reject, trim or replace these characters. A successful copy here does not verify acceptance in a username, bio or message. Paste into the checker to inspect the exact sequence; an empty field and a field containing a blank character are different.
Inspect without silently changing text
The checker counts code points, UTF-16 units and grapheme clusters, and lists the supported blank and formatting characters it finds. It does not remove anything. Joiners and variation selectors can be important for emoji and other scripts, so they are reported separately and preserved.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the preview look empty after copying?
That is expected for a blank or zero-width character. The brackets are only visual boundaries. Paste into the checker to confirm the actual code point and count.
Will a blank username work in every game or social app?
No. Each destination decides which characters are allowed. It may remove, reject or display a blank character differently; copying here cannot bypass those rules.
Is a zero-width space the same as a normal space?
No. U+200B is a different code point from the ordinary U+0020 space. It may affect line breaking without displaying a gap. Read the note for the selected type before using it.
Does the checker remove invisible text?
No. It reports supported characters and preserves the input. Use the separate Invisible Character Remover to select cleanup operations and compare a changed result.
Why is copying disabled for my repeat count?
The repeat count must be a whole number from 1 to 100. Empty, fractional or out-of-range values are invalid. Correct the count before copying.
